GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
OF LIBRARY
1. Only Registered members are allowed to use the Library. Members should always carry
their ID cards while using the Library facility.
2. Readers should observer strict silence inside the Library.
3. Uses of Mobile phones are not permitted inside the Library.
4. Users are not allowed to carry eatables/drinks inside the library premises.
5. Readers card are non-transferable.
6. Borrowers must satisfy themselves with a physical condition of the book before
borrowing.
7. Readers are not allowed to bring their personal books or any printed material inside the
library.
8. Bags, aprons or other belonging are not allowed inside the library. Such articles are to be
left in the property counter provided in the library. Users are advised not to keep their
valuable in the property counter.
9. The Library accepts no responsibility for the loss or
damage of any articles so left.

10. Readers should not carry books from one floor to another floor. 11. Readers should leave the books on the reading table after use. 12. Readers should not write in, mark and scratches and disfigure damage books or furniture of the Library or else they will be liable for punishment in form of penalty which will be double to cost of damage item. 13. Users should not rest or keep their feet on the tables, chairs, shelves, etc. 14. All users leaving the library must show all books, folders, papers, etc. in their possession at the counter of the reading hall to ensure nothing from the library is being taken out. Users may also be required to open for inspection any receptacle carried out of the library. 15. All books/journals and others library materials are to be used with care. 16. Engaging in conversation/discussion/group study inside the reading halls is strictly prohibited. 17. Sitting on the staircases/corridors/lobby areas is strictly prohibited. 18. The arrangement of furniture inside the library should not be disturbed.
CIRCULATION RULES
1. Books are normally issued for 15 days only.
2. Rs.10/- per day overdue charge for not returning issued books on or before due date.
3. Those text books which have single copies shall not be issued.
4. Students can reserve the books at the circulation counter in case these are already issued.
5. Thesis and Dissertation and bound journals are not issued at all.
6. Dissertation/Thesis are to consulted within the library premises only.
7. Dissertation/Thesis cannot be photocopied.
8. Borrowed books must be returned on or before the due date.
9. If a book, while under issue, is found to be damaged or lost, the member held
responsible.
DIGITAL LIBRARY RULES
1. Digital Library is to be used for academic purposes only.
2. Online chatting in the Digital Library is not allowed.
3. Users are not allowed to carry eatables and drinks in the Digital Library area.
4. Readers must carry their Library ID card while using the Digital Library. They must
show their ID card on demand.
5. Readers are not to share their net access ID and password with other students.
6. Changing the settings and display of the computers kept in the kept in the Digital
Library/ Reading Hall is not allowed.
7. Playing games on computers is strictly prohibited in the entire Library premises.
8. Network will not be provided on laptop brought inside the Library. The Library shall not
be responsible on loss of Laptops.
9. Students should take care of their pen drives, CD/DVD ROMs. Cell phone and wallets.
10. Computers are for educational use only. The use of the internet in the library is reference
work. Accessing unauthorized site are strictly prohibited.
11. Browsing of Dating, Networking of friendship and prone website is strictly prohibited.
Strict Disciplinary action will be taken against the defaulters.
