Every student shall undergo a period of certified study extending over 4 academic years from the date of commencement of the course, followed by 1 year of internship.

The medium of instruction is english for all the subjects and for examinations for BPT course.

  • The candidates are normally expected to attend the allotted work period (both theory and practical/ clinical) in each of the prescribed subjects.
  • They should attend 80% of the total number of classes conducted in each of the subjects to be eligible to appear for the examination.
  • The Principal will notify the attendance details at the end of each term and intimate to the University.
  • A candidate lacking in the prescribed attendance and progress in any one subject either in theory and/ or practical/ clinical in the first appearance will not be permitted to appear the examination of that subject.
  1. First Year: Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Biochemistry, Fundamentals of Exercise Modalities, Fundamentals of Electro Physical Agents, Psychology and Sociology, Fundamentals of Healthcare Delivery System in India.
  2. Second Year: Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, Exercise Therapy, Electrotherapy, Research Methodology and Biostatistics.
  3. Third Year: General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy, Neurological Physiotherapy, Community Based Rehabilitation, Clinical Education.
  4. Fourth Year: Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Neuro Physiotherapy, Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy, Sports Physiotherapy, Paediatric Physiotherapy, Geriatric Physiotherapy, Women’s Health Physiotherapy, Evidence Based Practice, Ethics and Professionalism, Clinical Internship Preparation.
  5. Internship: Orthopaedics, Neurology, Cardiorespiratory, Community Health, Paediatrics, General Physiotherapy Practice.
  6. The course is divided into 4 professional years with theory, practical, and clinical training.
  7. University examinations are conducted at the end of each year.
  8. Candidates must fulfill attendance and internal assessment requirements.
  9. Candidates must pass theory and practical examinations separately.
  10. After successful completion of academics and internship, the BPT degree is awarded.
  1. BPT I year: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Biomechanics, Psychology & Sociology (First 12months).
  2. BPT II year: Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Exercise therapy, Electrotherapy & Physical agents, Prosthetics & Orthotics (12-24 months)
  3. BPT III year: General Medicine, General Surgery, Community Medicine, PT CVTS, PT Med. Surg. including OBG, Research & Ethics (25-36 months).
  4. BPT IV year: Clinical Orthopaedics, Clinical Neurology & Neurosurgery, PT Pediatrics, Community Physiotherapy, PT Orthopedics, PT Neurology & Neurosurgery, Evidence based practice (37-48 months).

5.The detailed syllabus is prescribed by the KAHER. Students are advised to seek a copy of same from the institute.

6.Annual  University examinations will be conducted tentatively in the 1st/2nd week of July.
